1. Will Claye

Track & Field - Triple Jump

Will Claye already has two Olympic silver medals in the triple jump and a bronze in the long jump. He is the favorite to win gold in the triple jump at the Tokyo Games. He owns the world's longest triple jump since the start of 2019, including a mark of 18.14 meters. 

 

2. Tara Davis

Track & Field - Hurdles

David is participating in her first Olympics in Tokyo. She just graduated from University of Texas where she is the NCAA indoor and outdoor long jump champion and record holder. She's the first Longhorn in her sport to earn a spot on the Olympic Team USA.

3. Chris Benard

Track & Field - Triple Jump

This is Benard's second Olympics after competing in 2016 and now Tokyo 2020/2021.  After he ran track for Arizona State, he won four medals at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships and two podium finishes at the USA Indoor Championships. 

4. Allyson Felix

Track & Field - Sprinter

Felix will be competing in her fifth Olympics in Tokyo 2020/2021. She the most decorated female Olympian in track and field history with nine medals, including 6 Gold medals and 3 Silver. She qualified for the 400-meter and a new event, the 4x400-meter mixed relay.

5. Wade Van Niekerk 

Track & Field - 400 M

Van Niekerk will be in his second Olympics in Tokyo, after winning the Olympic 400m gold medal at the 2016 Rio Games. In Rio he smashed the previous world 400m record, clocking a spectacular 43.03 seconds running blind from lane eight. He is from South Africa, but moved to the US to train.
