1) VertiMax Is New Advanced Training Technology!  Revolutionary new engineering and patented components under the platform  allow VertiMax to apply advanced plyometric loading.  This design enhances the stimulation of the neuromuscular system resulting in superior adaptations in the areas of muscle activation and synchronization which makes Vertimax the most effective device for developing lower body reactive power!

A) Balance Control

Patented tracking systems help preserve balance to allow maximum training effort on every repetition.

B) Non-Varying Force

VertiMax utilizes over 100ft of resistance bands under the platform on pulley systems to keep resistance from varying when the athlete is training.

C) Set Resistance

The tail ends of all resistance bands exit thru auto-locking cam cleats. This allows users to instantly change the effective length of cords to generate 100's of resistance levels.

A) Balance Control - The left animation shows how the VertiMax tracking system allows the cords to laterally shift with the user's hips to maintain a "straight down" pull. Conventional systems shown on the right anchor cords on the platform in one spot.  As the athlete shifts from the center of the platform, the anchored cords can't shift with the athlete. When this happens the cords no longer pull straight down, they pull laterally applying unnatural  lateral forces which disrupt balance (see resistance arrows in upper left of each animation).  So why is balance important? Because a human can not jump with 100% effort if they are off balance.  Have you ever tried to leap with maximal effort when you were off balance?  It is imperative to train with maximal effort on every repetition if you want to recruit, fire and train the maximum number of Fast Twitch Type II motor units which produce the majority of an athlete's explosive power!  Therefore balance must be maintained while training explosively for optimum motor unit recruitment and firing synchronization which leads to maximum power development.

B) Optimal Non-Varying Force Applied  - Referencing the first animation on the right, VertiMax is the only jump training system that routes over 100 ft of resistance bands below the platform on pulley systems.  This means the cords never go slack when you squat and won't start getting tighter as you jump (note the resistance meter as the athlete jumps).  Gravity doesn't change when you jump so you don't want your training resistance to change when you jump either.  This allows the athlete to better maintain balance and thus jump with maximal effort when training.  The non-varying resistance provides a neurological advantage that allows the brain to not only recruit, fire and train more Fast Twitch Type II motor units, but also improve the firing synchronization of motor units so you have more Type II motor units firing at the same time.  That generates more power just like adjusting the timing on your car engine.  The better the timing the more horse power your engine generates.  The animation on the right shows how the applied resistance with a conventional system that uses short elastic bands will vary greatly when jumping.  Athlete's can not achieve the same training efficiencies on the neurological and muscular level compared to VertiMax.

C) Choose 100's of Resistance Settings Instantly!  - The VertiMax training system allows the user to extract and retract resistance bands through auto-locking cam cleats to quickly set hundreds of resistance levels.  Training resistance can be quickly set from as little as 4 lbs to as much as 120lb.  The ability to progressively increase plyometric loading over time can be used to enhance the stimulation of the neuromuscular system and drive superior adaptations to promote muscle motor unit activation and syncronization.  A common problem with traditional plyometrics using one's own body weight day after day is that after initial adaptations, there is no added stimulus (weight) or (resistance) to promote additional strength development for power production.  Vertimax solves this critical drawback by allowing athletes to add resistance with very low mass to their plyomtric training.
